In this episode of the REsimpli podcast, Sharad Mehta interviews Beth Underhill, a seasoned real estate investor based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Beth shares her dynamic journey, beginning with her and her husband's outdoor living space construction company and how they transitioned into real estate investing. What started with attending a real estate seminar in 2018 quickly evolved into Beth's pivot from residential flipping to commercial real estate, specifically focusing on multifamily syndications and student housing investments.
Beth's first significant venture into real estate came through networking and forming strategic partnerships, leading to the acquisition of a 70-unit multifamily property in Wichita, Kansas. Shortly afterward, Beth and her team shifted focus to student housing, driven by the expertise of a new partner with over 17 years of experience in the niche. Since then, Beth has successfully acquired multiple student housing properties, primarily in the southeastern United States, with properties in Tennessee and Georgia.
Looking ahead, Beth and her team aim to expand into real estate development, exploring opportunities in various sectors, including single-family homes, townhomes, and commercial real estate. Outside of real estate, Beth shares her passion for golf, powerlifting, and spending time with her family.
